I was SO stoked with how my first newborn session in the new studio turned out! Little Clara Rose was the sweetest little angel, and we got so many great poses with her, as well as with new parents Hilary & Brett! This is an example of a full newborn session, which lasted about 4 hours (aka the zero-stress option that allows for fussing, multiple feedings, fussing, diaper changes, more fussing, pose changes… you get the idea haha). Parents are always amazed at my patience during these sessions, but I believe when you truly do what you love, it never feels like work—and I LOVE what I do! The full newborn session also allows for a variety of photos, from the “posed studio” look of the individual baby, as well as shots with mom, dad, and both.
I had THE best time meeting little Aubrie this morning for her newborn photo session! She could not have been any cuter, or more perfect, during all the posing. At 3 weeks old, she was older than any newborn I've ever worked with, but I was happy to find such ease while working with her, that I'm quick to tell expecting moms that newborn photos can be done even later than I'd originally thought (typically I've told moms that 6-10 days of life is the best window for newborn posed photos). Her sweet nursery was just darling, with little pink and grey elephants, so she absolutely rocked this pink flower crown and swaddle blanket on a gray fuzzy rug. Her mama also pulled out her own baby blanket and asked if we could include that in some of the photos--how wonderfully nostalgic!
When I walked into Blaire's nursery for her newborn session, I nearly cried. Her mama and daddy, who are good friends of mine, had tried for over a year to conceive; So when I got to meet their perfect little miracle, it was definitely "all the feels". And she truly was perfect, in her magical nursery, full of vibrant colors! She barely made a peep as she posed in her crib, and in mom & dad's arms. I even managed to snap a shot of her smirking in her sleep, as she probably dreamed about changing the world one day <3
I met Allie when she was about 8 months pregnant. Fortunately she wasn't totally weirded out when our first meeting involved me grabbing her adorable belly and telling me how cute she was *haha!*. We'd met at a neighborhood Girl's Night, and I was so excited to have another baby in the neighborhood! When she reached out to me a few weeks later to do her newborn photos, I asked her if she'd be interested in a "Bump to Baby" package, so we could capture some before/maternity & after/newborn moments; she excitedly agreed! I absolutely love these before & after shots, as well as the "baby in a basket" posed shots we got in his nursery.
